Outreach Opportunities

The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts built on its impressive commitment to student learning by reaching 4,637 students through Sandler Education Programs in 2010-2011, a 9% increase from 2009-2010!  Several key successes included Joe Bonamassa’s lecture and meet and greet with students, as well as the two in-school performances by the Borealis Wind Quintet.  The Sandler Center’s ACCESS the ARTS program also achieved broad-reaching goals this year by enabling 1,937 students to experience the arts – a 600% increase over 2009-2010’s Title I participation!  With the overwhelming success of the Sandler Education Programs and ACCESS the ARTS, the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts is one of Virginia Beach’s best venues to experience and learn through the arts.
