Featuring the Virginia Beach Chorale, KEYS Percussion Ensemble, and captivating Japanese violinist Risa Hokamura, the concert begins with Amundson's "Grand Fanfare," created for King Harald V of Norway. It is followed by one of the most famous concertos for violin, the Brahms Violin Concerto in D, then a Japanese martial arts drumming experience with special effects in a piece written by our own Daniel W. Boothe, finishing with Yasuhide Ito's epic tone poem for orchestra and chorus, "Gloriosa."
