Floor Manager Job Description
The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a part-time Floor Manager to oversee volunteer ushers and to support House Managers in front of house theatre operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise volunteer ushers in an assigned floor or area of the theatre
- Assist in directing lobby traffic and seating patrons
- Address patron and usher issues, and escalate to supervisors as appropriate
- Ensure the safety of patrons and assist special needs patrons
- Support the House Manager in all other activities to provide a positive customer experience and ensure patron safety
SALARY AND HOURS
- Part-time Hours -- vary based on Sandler Center event schedule
- Evenings and weekends required
- Wage: $8-$10, commensurate upon experience
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated knowledge of front of house theatre or venue operations
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and communication skills
- Experience in volunteer or usher management a plus
- Willingness to work flexible and varied hours
- Ability to work well under pressure
