Event Update:
In conformance with Governor Ralph Northam’s statewide ban on events over 10 people, and due to the increasing threat of COVID-19, all Virginal Arts Festival's public performances and education events scheduled through Sunday, June 14, 2020 will be rescheduled, postponed, or cancelled effective Friday, April 3, 2020. The Virginia Arts Festival’s and Sandler Center's top priority is the health and safety of all our patrons, artists, volunteers, and staff.
"Thank you for your patience and your continued patronage as we work through the challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The restrictions on travel have impacted our ability to bring world-class artists to our stages, and safety measures such as closing facilities and limiting public gatherings have forced us to reschedule, postpone, or cancell many upcoming performances," says Robert W. Cross, Perry Artistic Director, Virginia Arts Festival. "We are working hard to reschedule as many performances as we can. Until we can safely gather again, I wish you good health, and I look forward to seeing you at a Virginia Arts Festival performance once the crisis has ended."
Your tickets and seat locations at the Sandler Center for the original performances will automatically be moved to the corresponding rescheduled dates. Ticket purchasers are encouraged to retain their tickets for the new date. If you are unable to attend the new dates or wish to receive a refund, please contact the Sandler Center via one of the following ways:
- Email us at Info@SandlerCenter.org. Due to the Box Office being closed this is the fastest way to get in contact with a Box Office representative.
- Call us at (757) 385-2587. While the Box Office is closed, we are still monitoring the voicemail and a Box Office representative will contact you as soon as possible.
Presented by Virginia Arts Festival.
This North Carolina duo’s music radiates a mysterious warmth; at times their songs sound like whispered secrets, and at others their vocal harmonies and rich instrumentation deliver a “lush, full-band sound” (Garden & Gun). NPR hails their music as “engineered to settle worried minds, slow the blood and lend an empathetic ear” with “songs about life lessons that feel lived-in and hard-won.” A fan favorite at Virginia Arts Festival’s 2019 Williamsburg Live, Mandolin Orange returns to the festival for a must-hear performance in the acoustically superb Sandler Center for the Performing Arts.
