Event Update:
After Monday’s directive by the Governor for residents to stay home and not gather in groups of more than 10, Symphonicity has to make the difficult but necessary decision to cancell Nature's Realm on May 3. Refunds will be available at the original point of purchase. Ticket purchases made using a credit/debit card through one of the venue’s authorized channels (Box Office, YnotTix.com, or (757) 385-2787) will be refunded automatically to the card used to make the original purchase. Depending on your bank, it may take 7-10 business days before these funds are visible in your account. Currently, the Sandler Center Box Office is closed. Once the Box Office reopens, cash purchasers may claim their refund by bringing their original tickets to the Sandler Center Box Office.
Presented by Symphonicity
The final chapter explores springtime with songs of nature, including Bach's "Sheep May Safely Graze" and Dvořák’s "In the Realm" Overture. Canadian trombonist Robert Conquer from the Curtis Institute showcases a rarely featured instrument in a mesmerizing concerto by Italian composer Nino Rota. Symphonicity closes its season and flies into its 40th Anniversary future with Stravinsky's incredible "Firebird Suite!"
“Nature’s Realm” is sponsored in part by the Capital Group Companies, Virginia Beach Arts & Humanities commission, Business Consortium for Arts Support, Virginia Commission for the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts.
